PRESENTATION

TomoXpert is a platform dedicated to non-destructive testing (NDT) and associated metrology, aims to bring together the equipment and skills of different entities of the University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UBFC), in order to propose a structured offer, in the areas of training, research, technology transfer or industrial service. The platform provides access to both conventional NDT techniques, the most advanced NDT techniques, in particular tomography (an essential technique for many current industrial and research problems), as well as techniques related to NDT, such as the use of robotic inspection systems or automated fault recognition. Its purpose is to support industrial or university partners in research or development projects and thus generate synergies.

Research unit(s):

  • ICB
  • DRIVE (EA 1859, Vehicle Engineering Research Department for the Environment), based in Auxerre/Nevers.

CERTIFICATE

TomoXpert has been authorized since March 2023 by the COS BFC, as a “Research Platform of Bourgogne Franche-Comté".

The platform relies on the industrial and academic partners who are directly linked to it, but also very strongly on the competitiveness clusters present in the BFC (Nuclear Valley) region, or on institutional partners, such as UIMM, Robotics Valley, the CETIM, Usinerie Partners, through the “CND LAB'” University-Industry platform based in Chalon/Saône. TomoXpert is the entity representing the University of Burgundy within CND LAB'. It is supported by the COFREND “French Confederation for Non-Destructive Testing".

As part of the services managed by our partner Satt Sayens, the actions carried out are ISO 9001 v2021 certified.
