Every year, GERG organizes a competition to highlight the work of postgraduate students in the field of renewable gases or other low carbon gases. These success stories illustrate how a new generation of researchers is working on gas as a key enabler of a new low-carbon energy system.

Naguy Moussa, PhD student at the Université de Technologies de Belfort-Montbéliard and at the laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne is one of the 3 winners for his poster entitled: “Hydrogen sensor based on metal oxide semiconductor.”

The 2022 event took place in association with EGATEC 2022 on June 14 in Hamburg, promoting interaction between European universities and research centers, on R&D topics related to gas in the energy system.

During the conference, the students had the opportunity to present their posters and discuss with representatives of the European gas industry, universities, companies and other stakeholders. In addition, during the session dedicated to the awards, each of the students presented their thesis project, evaluated by a jury made up of senior members of the associations co-organizing the conference.
