SEM (BSE) observation of a sample of HfO2 type stabilized at 50 mol%. of Gd2O3 obtained by FAST sintering (1600 ° C, 30 min plateau, 30 MPa).

From October 6 to 8, 2021 took place the scientific days of GFDM-FACE (French-speaking Group for Densification of Materials by Assisted Sintering under Electromagnetic Field). During these 3 days, the French-speaking community working on all the themes associated with flash sintering, microwave sintering, SPS was able to take stock of the progress of the latest research in this very active sector. 33 oral presentations were offered as well as a poster session. On this occasion, Lisa AUDOUARD, doctoral student at the end of the first year at ICB as part of a CNES / ONERA / UTBM project, presented her thesis work and her already very rich results relating to the design of oxide ceramics by sintering FAST. She thus won the thesis prize awarded by GFDM-FACE. The ICB laboratory sends its congratulations to her. On the business side, Foad NAIMI presented the work in progress within Sintermat, a start-up also from the ICB laboratory.
