A look back at “La Nuit des Temps 2021”

Tags :

Following the success of the first three editions devoted to light, gravitational waves and then antimatter, the Société française de physique, the CNRS and the CEA jointly organized a new “Night" dedicated to time and its irreversibility. The opportunity to introduce to the general public the fascinating properties of Time.

Due to the health crisis, the event was held by video from the film set of the University of Paris-Saclay, and was broadcast live on the SFP YouTube channel and on the Sciences & Avenir Facebook, partner of the event.

The operation consisted on the one hand in mobilizing schoolchildren around the theme of Time via experimental, artistic, literary and philosophical competitions, and on the other hand in a highly impactful evening: multidisciplinary round table, report and prize list of competitions punctuated the evening and enlivened the spirits. About ten lectures on the different aspects of Time are also available and can be viewed throughout the year on this playlist.

In Dijon, the evening brought together two specialists of Time:
