PPCC2022 – 6th International Workshop “Prospects on Protonic Ceramic Cells”

Tags :

From June 8 to 10, 2022, the Palais des Congrès in Dijon hosted the 6th edition of the international workshop “Prospects on Protonic Ceramic Cells“, organized jointly by the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne, EIFER (European Institute For Energy Research) and the Colorado School of Mines.

The objective was to unite their respective scientific communities in order to promote exchanges and stimulate the emergence of new areas of research.

This major biennial congress was able to highlight the richness and vigor of new advances in solid-state chemistry, materials science, physical and chemical characterization, electrochemical performance and reliability, modeling and simulation, as well as engineering and applications of solid-state proton conductor technologies. The event gave a global vision of cutting-edge research from fundamental to applied new proton ceramic cells and their applications and brought together academic, industrial and research circles.

The organizers worked together to define the scientific themes on the program of this congress and to identify the plenary speakers and keynotes invited.
This congress bringing together researchers, engineers, doctoral students and post-doctoral students for 3 days, will have enabled all the participants to discuss their research work with specialists in the field, while enriching themselves with research on other themes in a spirit of openness to interdisciplinary

High-level program

The program was punctuated by 5 plenary lectures presented by international scientists: Nikolaos Bonanos (Greece), Ragnar Strandbakke (University of Oslo), Paola Carpanese (University of Genoa, Genoa), Pierre Olivier (ENGIE Lab CRIGEN, Stains) and Aayan Banerjee (University of Twente, Enschede), several thematic conferences as well as a poster session.

In addition, twenty speakers introduced the developed themes of the congress. The discussions continued around more than 20 posters presented by the participants on all the themes addressed within the congress.

Social events

Participants also visited the city center of Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy during a social afternoon. Finally, a gala dinner was organized at the Closerie (Maison Philippe Le Bon) bringing together around fifty participants, preceded by a tasting of local wines at the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin in a most convivial atmosphere.
