Christophe FINOT est Professeur à l’Université de Bourgogne. Né en France en 1978, diplomé de l’Ecole Supérieure d’Optique (SupOptique), il reçoit une thèse de Physique de l’Université de Bourgogne en 2005 avant de passer une année à l’Optoelectronics Research Center, à Southampton (UK). Nommé Maitre de Conférences en 2006, il est promu Professeur en 2010. Il a été à la tête du Département de Physique entre juin 2010 et juin 2013. Il a été nommé membre junior de l’Institut Universitaire de France en 2017.
Ses domaines de recherche principaux concernent le façonnage optique non-linéaire, le traitement de l’information tout optique et les ondes scélérates optiques, les analogies entre l’optique diffractive et dispersive.
