 Departement Interface and Reactivity in Materials: Physical Chemistry of Cementitious and Colloidal Media



  • University Degree in Physical Chemistry at the University of Coimbra, Portugal (2004),
  • PhD in Physical Chemistry at Lund University, Sweden (2010)
  • Post-doc at the Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland(2010-2013)
  • Currently post-doc at ICB. Research on surface and colloid Chemistry, in particular on the interactionbetween charged objects in solution, and on describing ion sorption in cement with multi-scale molecular modelling.

Expertise in quantum chemical calculations, molecular dynamics (classical and ab initio) and Monte Carlo simulations.
