Career

Full professor position in Physics at the University of Franche-Comté (Besançon, France). Researcher at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne (ICB), UMR 6303 CNRS/university of Burgundy (Dijon, France).

After completing studies for a BSc and Masters Degree in Physics and a DEA in Astronomy and
Astrophysics at Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6), I started my PhD studies in 1992 in Paris focusing on the charge transfer in astrophysical plasmas. After a year as ATER where I was doing research at Lyon 1 and at the university of St-Etienne on the same theme, I was accepted at Rennes 1 in September 1996 as a MCF (assistant professor). My research then moved into the area of quantum reaction dynamics. In October 2004, I received my HDR and a year later, at the age of 36, I was accepted as a full professor at the University of Franche-Comté (Besançon).

My scientific activity can be regrouped in one main theme, "Numerical Simulation in Atomic and Molecular Physics", and in two research sub-themes: quantum dynamics of reactive collisions (gas-phase) and collisional processes at low temperatures. My concerns are both fundamental (understanding the reaction mecanisms, the effect of different parameters on reactivity, etc.) and applied (astrophysics, atmospheric chemistry, combustion, comparison with experiments, etc.).
