Frédéric Demoisson received his PhD degree in Physical Chemistry (2006) at the University of Lorraine (France) for his work on the reactivity of colloidal particles of pyrite and gibbsite at micronic and submicronic scales. He then worked on the interface design of metal nanocluster-carbon nanotube hybrids under the European “Nano2Hybrids” project within the Brussels University (Belgium) during a postdoc period of two years. In 2008, he joined the University of Bourgogne (France) staff as assistant professor in the ICB Lab (Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne, UMR 6303 CNRS/UB). The main originalities of his researches concern (i) the hydrothermal synthesis of different nano-oxides under sub and supercritical conditions with a continuous process developed in the MaNaPI team (ICB Lab) (ii) the understanding of nucleation-growth mechanisms of nano-oxides in supercritical water (iii) the research of (industrial) partners in order to promote this original synthesis process (transfer of technology) and also the produced nanopowders.
