Career

After a Ph.D. thesis from 2005 to 2009 on the synthesis and organization of liquid-cristalline dendrimer-grafted gold nanoparticles supervized by Prof. Thomas Bürgi (Neuchâtel, Switzerland), Julien BOUDON joined the ICMCB Institute (Bordeaux, France) as a post-doctoral fellow to develop smart bioagents for molecular imaging of vulnerable plaques in atherosclerosis with Dr. Stéphane Mornet and Prof. Etienne Duguet. Afterwards he joined the ICB laboratory in 2010 as a post-doctoral fellow then as associate professor since 2011 to develop nanomaterial-based platforms for biomedical applications: diagnostics (imaging) and therapeutics.
