Camille NALET (1989), PhD student in Physical chemistry (project started in November 2012, Dijon, France); Materials Engineering degree at the Engineering College “Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Recherche En Matériaux” (ESIREM, Dijon); Master degree of Nanotechnologies and Nanobiosciences (Dijon).

Projects

Ongoing projects

PhD about the influence of the functionalities of organic molecules on the reactivity and hydration kinetics of cement phases, started in November 2012. It is financed by Nanocem, the european consortium of academic and industrial partners, all interested in fundamental research in the nanoscale science of cement and concrete ( http://www.nanocem.org/ ).

Past projects

Investigation of the dissolution behaviour of pure cementitious coumpounds under hydrodynamic conditions and salt solution concentrations. Another major task of the work was to study the influence of the structure of PCE polymers on the hydration kinetics of cement.

Work placement project in the Corporate Research, Cementitious Systems of Sika Technology AG, Zürich (February to September 2012), Switzerland with Patrick Juilland (Sika).

Study about how the pH affects the structure and swelling of the sodium clay structure (MX-80) involving osmotic stress experiments.

Work placement project in the Department of Theoretical Chemistry, Lund University, Sweden (April to June 2011), with Bo Jönsson (Center of Chemistry, Lund) and Christophe Labbez (ICB, Dijon).
