Career

I was born in Verona (Italy)  on  August 11th, 1982.
I received the Laurea Degree and the Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering  (supervisor: Pr. Costantino De Angelis) from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2007 and 2011, respectively.

From  May 2007 to October 2007 I was student visitor at the Ultrafast Optics Group of the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique of Montreal (Canada), under the supervision of Pr. R.Morandotti.

From November 2010 to October 2012 I was postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia (Italy), working on the research project Nonlinear cross-polarization interactions in photonic devices and systems, coordinated by Pr. S.Wabnitz.

Since November 2012 I am postdoctoral research fellow at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne of the University of Bourgogne, Dijon (France), working on the research project PETAL (Polarization condEnsation for Telecom AppLications), granted by the European Research Council and  coordinated by Dr. J. Fatome.

My main research interests are nonlinear optics, computational electromagnetism, plasmonics and photonics structures.

I have authored or co-authored 17 papers published on international journals and 6 conference proceedings (see list of publications).
