Research objectives of the Optics and Matter-Radiation Interaction department:
- Study of quantum dynamics and of nonlinear systems in perturbative regimes.
Control of atoms and molecules by laser pulses.
- Manipulation and interaction of microscopic systems with femtosecond laser pulses.
- Study of optical and electro-optical interactions in passive NLO materials.
- Study of near-field optics interactions.
- Fundamental and applied researches in guided nonlinear propagation. Ultra-high rate optical
communications. Development of laser sources and of special optical fibers and in incoherent nonlinear optics.
- Analysis and simulation of molecular spectra (absorption and Raman).
